I've decided to do a nightstand like the ones pictured above.
The dimensions would be 20" sides with 5" legs for the overall height, the width would be 18" and a length of 16".
For materials, I would use 3/4" BC plywood. I would also need four 5" table legs, drawer slides, and a handle. Assembling with pocket screws seems to be an aesthetically pleasing option for joining the main parts of the nightstand.
From some general research I've done, it will cost around $50-$60 for the materials.


This is a good project. Now time for more thought about materials, hardware, etc.
