Day two of working on the Final Project

The above picture is from the first day.

The two pictures above are from today.

It is day two of my mission to produce the chair that has storage capabilities. I have put in about 12 hours of work, but more are required to finish it. Mistakes have been made, the sheet of plywood that I once had is not the same as it used to be, and neither am I. Nevertheless, I persist.

Yesterday, I almost entered without a plan. In about thirty minutes I made a plan of how I was to cut the 4'0" x 8'0" sheet of plywood. Then, with a plan in mind, a great progress was made. I entered the scenic shop and I measured, ripped, and I cross cut. Oh the plywood did its best to strike back! It scraped my hands a few times, but I kept cutting. With some advice from you, I made some changes to the way the seat was to stay still, and I cut those pieces. I had nearly all of the pieces that I needed. It seemed as though I was ready to proceed to the next step: assembling the chair.

Today, it definitely moved a bit slower. I started well, then slowed quite quickly. You brought to my attention that there was nothing to support the chair in back part of it. I measured and did some more cutting to come up with a solution. I decided to put essentially another back piece just closer, so it will support the back of the seat.
